One thing we can always count on in Kenya is that you can't count on anything but God. We didn't have any internet service where we were, but are now back in Nairobi and are able to connect! Great flight in to Nairobi today. Missionary pilots are great people.
We are thrilled to report that God is working in the hearts of the Luo & Suba tribes on Mfangano Island! We visited 7 schools where Caleb and Tamara gave a Bible story presentation, Bobby presented the Gospel and Page taught True Love Waits (sexual purity). We also presented the Gospel at 5 fishing markets. Page taught a Women's Conference Saturday on praying for your children. Bobby held a pastor's conference that wasn't planned in advanced, but we saw God leading this to occur.
The Gospel was presented and God gives the harvest. There were 367 salvations. The last salvation was the boat driver's brother on the way to the airplane this morning! There are many joining True Love Waits clubs in the schools. We planted a tree at each school to commemorate the start of the club.
Our Sunday services went well with several churches turning out at the Wakinga Baptist Church location. We could not fit in the church and met under the trees! It was a great fellowship and God was glorified.
Please pray for Pastor Joshua Nyicula and Pastor Tobias as they follow up on these people. Please pray for assistant Pastor Eliazar Wambo as he meets with each True Love Waits club once a month.
Tamara said to tell you that she loves you.
