It Wasn't a good day, it was a GOD DAY!

Kisumu Pastors and Womens Conference Day 2

The team finally all got a good nights sleep and we woke up anxious to see what the Lord had for us today.  The day was full of details because one team was going to the conference in Kisumu and then traveling to Kisii after doing some house-to-house evangelizing.  This group was Stephani Hutchinson, Marti Gibbs, Linda Tyler and Allen Gayle.  They were thrilled to have six people accept Jesus in the morning!  Praise the Lord!

Ashley and Taylor Hemphill had another fun day added to their schedule today because the children loved The Hemphills and were getting so much out of their time together.  They played games and told Bible stories with a felt board.  The Bay  Leaf  and Hocutt Womens Circles made beautiful cloth dolls for us to give out on this trip and these children were more excited than you could ever believe.  It has been such a blessing to have their ministry for the children this trip!

Thank you , ladies for the dolls!

The teaching team continued on with the second day of teaching.  Mimi Brummitt and Lena Reyes taught the women.  We didn't teach what man had planned for us.  Rather , we were Spirit filled and ministered to these precious women.  We wanted to reinforce the Way , The Truth and the Cleansing and Redeeming blood of Jesus. We wanted them to know who their Jesus is spiritually and historically.   The women asked many questions, shed a few tears and were very candid about the struggles in their lives.  Many of these women have returned to the conferences that Bay Leaf brings to Kisumu each time.  We were thrilled to have one young widowed mother accept Jesus after we taught about how Jesus is a complete and redeeming  bridge to salvation.  Praise the Lord!

The men continued teaching the Kenyan men in the Pastors School.  Bill Howard  and  Howard Satterfield taught Genesis.  Bill commented that the men ask a lot of hard and thought provoking questions.  And he has great joy to be in Kenya to give the truth of our Lord and  Savior Jesus Christ. He took his teaching from the book of John.

We ended the Conference with a formal gathering of all the people under the trees and tents.  Our Pastor was introduced and he thanked the members from the church and the leaders of the association.  Everyone was very thankful to God for the opportunities He provided today.  There was laughter and there was tears.  There was hugging of old friends and men giving man-hugs and encouraging one another.  There were adults and there were babies. But the most important person who was there was our loving and gracious Lord Jesus!
