The mission team is doing great in Masaii land. We have been unable to get on the internet until tonight and we do not have enough "juice" to upload photos.
We have had an amazing and spirit filled time preaching, evangelizing and celebrating in Masaii land. On day one, we went to an area called Losenya near Lake Magadi. It was almost two hours drive from where we are staying. The drive was full of rocky and mountainous scenes. Some of us said it looked like the wilderness where the Israelites wandered with Moses for 40 years. We also say some camels!
The women taught the women in groups throughout the day. This team consisted of Lena Reyes and Dawn Hughes. Peyton Joyner taught the men under a tree and they learned about the book of Ephesians. A second team consisting of Ashley and Taylor Hemphill and Andrea Horne was blessed to go to a primary school nearby and teach bible stories, sang songs and made visor crafts. They also amazed the children by introducing them to bubbles and a guitar! An evangelizing team consisting of Mimi Brummitt, Bill Howard and Howard Satterfield went to a boma and talked to a village of three generations. God was with us all and we were so touched by the graciousness of the people of this valley. We enjoyed worshiping with them by singing and doing the Masaii dance as well!
